As some of the earlier entries this week stole my thunder it was a case of back to the drawing board. Such is life. Alas the only thing I could come up with was this - a hodge podge of influences, that got me thinking about digital media and whether it was just an extension of mainstream media.
In the end, I think I've put in an ordinary effort to illustrate this week's theme. I have a doubt in my mind whether it even qualifies as a drawing - it's a few hand rendered lines and text. An illustration maybe, graphic design probably, but a drawing?
Having said that, I better go back to watching digital TV, especially Fox News for more inspiration. Better still if you want real inspiration then check out the other entries on Illustration Friday. <<Older Main Newer>>

Art is whatever you want it to be. You drew it, it’s a drawing. And it looks like a cross between a map, a graph and a chip. It’s interesting. And don’t you hate all those people who post ahead of you? They have no lives that’s what it must be. Or is it me that has no life since I’m writing this at 11pm on a Saturday night.

Considering there is more chaos than usual feasting and spewing media in Australia, your choice is very contemorary and thought provoking. Does it matter how it qualifies so long as it illustrates?

I think it’s nice, like the text to, well the english lines, latin is greek to me.

The challenge is called ILLUSTRATION Friday so anything that illustrates the theme counts from my pathetic efforts (when I get around to them) to your more illustrious ones (pun intended there!).
If I were you, I would stop beating myself up over it and accept the accolades.

We are in awe of your wisdom ! Bravo! You should be in charge of the news. Give us something other than fluff and half-truths filtered through personal opinion and corporate kick-backs.

latin? I love that! Paralling a dead language with the growing digital interface.
I also just really love the lines and layout in this. It really speaks to me, in a kinda 1920’s modernism way. It reminds me of a O’Keeffe painting.
