...Go Directly to Jail, Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200

At last the monopoly of premium TV sports has been excised, and I'm back drawing. Have to say that having not drawn anything, that's right anything, for the past few weeks I am seriously out of practice and very rusty. It took a good 20 minutes before I could get into the "zone".....but once there, well it's a nice place to be - much nicer than being in jail (whether that be in real life or on the board).

Wow, Detlef…

For someone who’s out of practice, this is one terrific drawing. Wow! Looks a bit like Sean Connery.

I think I played him at Cluedo once.
I let him win.

I used to have a literature professor who looked just like your illustration.  He’d be grading out papers while we were taking his pop quiz and I’d look up every now and then to see him with that very same expression on his face.  Good job.

Oh…he looks like a mean one!  I’m so glad you’re back from the land of sports to treat us to your fabulous work.  I only wish I could draw half as well as you do when you’re out of practice!  Wonderful:>

Ouch! I don’t think that I would like to bump into this character on a dark night!

Nice to see you back in the zone, Detlef. You have been quiet lately.

Great drawing. How did you choose the numbers? As a keen gambler they must have some significance.

AnonyGhost: when will you or your alter egos be up and running again?  Gaols (jails)....interesting places.

Roy: my wife said the same thing re: the Connery resemblance.

Me: I thought I was me, do I now have a personal;ity complex.

Chippamunkey: thanks, glad he gives you this impression.

Willie: thanks, I try to differentiate if I can.

Cowboydog: I wouldn’t play with this guy if you paid me.

Andrew: what interesting lectures you would have had if this guy was a professor (of hard knocks).

Carla: thanks, flattery is always welcome.

Robyn: this guy would be right at home in Sin City down some dark alley.

Julie: random, they hold no special meaning, though prefer odd over even.

Ha! Brilliant concept for the theme. And great work with the pencils.

Wow, your work is fairly amazing-beautiful, strong work.  I love your monopoly take, and that face-the realism and expression makes me want to study each line. Again, wow!!!

Looks like his team lost. Great feel for form and expression.

Hey, so good to see you drawing again, and glad to be back in it myself.  This is frighteningly beautiful, Detlef.  You haven’t lost a thing.  What a face!

Have only heard there is a lot of TV Sports watching in gaols, plus rusty bars which is interesting. Why do you think I’m up and running? Hehehhee, not really ... download Dobell Prize Application Form 2006!

Now that’s a nasty looking guy. And very unhappy too.  Wonder what his childhood was like.

And you changed your whole site.  Looks really great.  And nice to see that charley up there has pride of place too.
