- Reinvent

I've really been struggling on the creative front. This is my first IF entry since the beginning of March. Even now I've had to reinvent an idea taken from The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Let me but escape into my laboratory door, give me but a second or two to mix and swallow the draught that I had always standing ready....
Yep, we all want to break out of our shell occasionally.
Check out the other entries on Illustration Friday. <<Older Main Newer>>

Is that white on black paper, or vice versa?
Whatever it is, it’s fabulous.

Nice to see you active again, Detlef. It has been a while since we heard anything from you. I love your spin on this challenge. Have been searching for a suitable quote myself , but no success. Might just have to write something original - gasp! The Poet and I are going to spend the coming 4 days in Berrima so maybe there is some inspiration there.

This is much more creative than you think! Have you done any of those projects to make you feel more creative…like the stuff in the Artist’s Way and whatnot? Anyway, just keep drawing, and trust that it is good. xo L.

Just a few brief observations/answers: Emily it’s white Conte on black paper; Leontine I haven’t tried any of the exercises, I think my problem is that my day job is currently sapping my motivation….but I’m back drawing again so that’s a bonus

That is really well done and as everyone else has noted, quite inventive. I’m impressed.

I luv the X-Ray concept. It’s uber cool ! Can you imagine if Dr. Jekyll turned into a monster whose skin was transparent. You totally reinvented the whole idea. Great job !

Wicked cool, Mr. D! It has a real X-ray feel. Have you ever tried Scratchboard? I’d love to see what you would do with that!
