It's been a while between updates, and drawing for that matter, but this bird is now done - aside from the constant minor revisions that will no doubt occur. I have also started on the second (or middle) bird which will be a golden pheasant and am making really good progress, well on the head at least. I might even have the second bird finished before I head to New York - that would be way ahead of where I thought I'd be.
