I have eventually returned to this drawing after a lengthy hiatus. Bird #2 is now complete, and it's been quite a task layering the relevant amount of colour. I also started Bird #3 and have been making steady progress so that the head has almost been fully rendered. All of that's pretty good progress for a weekend.
