I had great intentions of doing a lot of drawing today, but it didn't quite turn out that way. A few distractions - punting - got in the way, so it's a staccato attempt at drawing. Maybe I'll have more focus tomorrow. I'll need it as this tropical foliage is a tad intricate as you can see. It's a case of not worrying about the end product, and just working on doing it in digestible chunks. Looking at the drawing now I think I've actually doubled what I had there previously - must've been on autopilot and didn't realise it. Whether it's any good is a question yet to be answered.

Looking great! I gave up long ago on trying to mix graphite and prismacolor…I have a hard time getting them to a.not pollute each other b.having the separate elements feel unified at the edges…one always seems to float above the other and I can’t get a satisfactory transition at edges…plus working in chunks I find I have to continually go back and adjust values…but that may have more to do with the lighting conditions in my cardboard box…

Exceptional detail work and I like how you push the values right off the bat and can sustain that…looking forward to the finished product as well as just continuing to see the progression.
