The weekend was spent playing with the kids, drawing, punting and packing boxes for an imminent move to our new house. Yep in 2 weeks time we'll be in our own home, 'though I wouldn't say we'll be settled beacuse after all the packing comes all the unpacking.
I did have the opportunity to do some more drawing on the weekend too! Given my tardy start on Saturday - well there is the racing form to do - I didn't think I'd make much progress, but surprised myself with how much filling in, marking up, and detail I actually got completed. So the snail drawing is moving faster than snail's pace at the moment - which is good because it needs to be finished by the end of May so as meet the Waterhouse deadline.
One thing that was snail's pace, was the Autumn racing carnival, or at least my tips were. I often zigged when I should've zagged, resulting in lots of near misses, a few winners, and more than my fair share of losing tickets. End result: a losing month. Not having the ponies on SkyTV or free-to-air (shame Channel 7 shame) probably jinxed me, well it's an excuse of sorts.
