Didn't have the legs today, but the training has to go on. At least there were enough hills in today's ride to put some sting in the legs, even though I was very tortoise like getting up Black Mountain and Mt Ainslie. Black Mountain is steep from the outset and within a few metres you're into 12% territory.

I've been riding Mt Stromlo so frequently that I'd forgotten what 12 and 13% gradients felt like.... me not like too much I have to say. I can handle 7 to 8% quite well, but getting into double figure gradients is taxing on the legs - thank goodness I changed the rear cluster to a 12/27 combo, I can see myself using that low gear quite a lot.
