At last I feel motivated to draw again. The past two weeks have been a real struggle, no motivation at all to pick up a pencil and put graphite on paper. Still I think I've worked my way through the creative block - looking at other people's websites has helped immensely (the world is indeed full of many talented people).
A couple of ideas are swirling around in my head that will lead to some drawings. In fact, I can't wait for the weekend and start drawing "Hobby Horse I", am still conceiving "Hobby Horse II", and don't worry there isn't going to be a v3. I still want to draw something botanical as well - just haven't found the right plant yet, and I've got some more ideas involving elevators - hope I can follow through on half these ideas. I really must become more disciplined.
Listening to haunting vocals of The Sundays' Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.
Oh, by the way I have also completed my first commissioned portrait for a friend (what does one charge, if anything, for a friend? - the answer probably depends on whether the portrait is any good [the jury, as in me, is still out on that one]...lol).

Really enjoyed seeing your drawings and can’t wait to see more. I was particularly intrigued by the detail in the pictures that hang from the walls in some of your drawings. Nice work!

I was delighted to see your comment on my page today and discover a wonderful new talent and someone who has a real appreciation for graphite drawings! i’ve tried many times to emulate the fantastic Dany Gregory and do the pen and ink thing (even before I knew there was a fantastic Danny Gregory to be emulated!), but there is something so wonderful and comforting to me about good old smudgey graphite. Your archittectual renderings are astounding, but I’ve got to agree with Scott up there above me… I find myself drawn into the pictures on the wall! The one of the fishermen is particularly fine… something about it and it’s movement puts me in mind of N.C.Wyeth. Must dash now, but am so pleased to have made your aquaintance!!!

Your drawings are intriguing. Apart from the enormous technical skill that you obviously have, your preception of the world is to be admired. I will be dropping in occasionally just for inspiration.
